“My experience with dealing with Scott Park Homes made building my first home a pleasant and memorable experience.

From the first contact with the sales representative, Robert Hewison who was patient and understanding with the constant plan changes (8 plan revisions in total). Making changes back and forth while I decided what I wanted, single garage/double garage, front entry/side entry and the list goes on! Robert was great with assisting me with ideas, his experience in the industry was a huge factor in creating a house design that is extremely functional and spacious.

A meeting with the drafting manager Nathan Lenane saw one final change to the kitchen that saw the rangehood and oven placed on a wall with a window either side that is now a feature in the house that receives endless comments. This was great advice from Nathan who went out of his way to make sure that I had the best design possible and using his drafting experience to make sure the design was compliant with the fire regulations.

Next I had my prestart meeting with Emma Maiolo who was a pleasure to deal with, she was very good at assisting me with ideas and very helpful with any questions I had. I believe that prestart could be a time when you could be steered to a colour scheme that wasn’t actually what you wanted – instead being the latest trend or what the prestart consultant liked.

After completing my prestart meeting with Emma, I was given a gift hamper full of goodies which was lovely. I felt as though I was appreciated for my business but I was the one who was receiving all of the help!

Emma wasn’t forceful with ideas, she would instead tell me the most popular choices and help me with matching the colours together. In the end I was very happy with my colour choices and was very thankful to how well Emma had helped me in getting there.

During the construction period of the house, the construction supervisor Darren Moore was extremely punctual and acted fast with any requests that I had. I didn’t have any errors that I could pick up on, if there was something that was wrong, Darren had already picked it up and had it attended to.

I was very happy with the dealings that I had with the client liaison officer Samara Menzel. She was always very friendly and bubbly on the phone. She was interested in the further finishes of my house, as I was telling her about the wallpaper I was planning on getting put in upon completion. It was very nice to have someone to be excited for me and interested in my wallpaper!

Samara made an appointment for me to come in to go over my guarantees made by the builder and to pick up my keys. Samara wasn’t feeling very well that day but made a special effort to come into the office so that she didn’t delay my handover. This was very special for me as I received my keys on a Friday and was able to get into the house that weekend to start doing my final touches.

With all of the great assistance that I had with my building experience, it turned into an amazing first home that is more than I ever could have wanted. I was so pleased with my dealings with Scott Park Homes South West that when I decided that I wanted to build a second home, there was no competition.

The customer service and building quality is what made Scott Park Homes South West the choice for my second home. Although I decided against building, I purchased one of their display homes as I knew that I would be just as happy with the quality of the build and would receive the same great customer service through the leaseback period.”

“As promised, I’m writing in this letter as a formal thankyou for the construction of my house, as well as to provide feedback for Scott Park Homes to continuously improve their business in the future. I am very pleased in both the construction quality, and the friendly professional nature of service that multiple personnel from Scott Park provided during the building process, to the extent of which Scott Park will in the future be the only consideration to build my next home, and my only recommendation for others who enquire for themselves.

As a first Home Builder, building a home is overwhelming. Multiple reports from various other people indicate Builders as a ‘shady lot’ who need constant direction and probing questions to understand exactly ‘what you’re getting’ as it is never ‘what you want’ unless you whip out more cash (the ‘hidden traps’). After many discussions with others that I work with who have built/building, I approached the situation with trepidation and caution, expecting to be heavily involved in every step from a monitoring perspective to ensure that I get what I want, not just what the Builder delivers.

From the first meeting with Clint Leach (your Sales and Design Consultant) however, my opinion of Scott Park is entirely different. Clint provided a very friendly environment to discuss my options with no obligation at any stage, and was honest, open and transparent for every step, without ever trying to ‘sell’ or ‘convince’ me that Scott Park should be my builder. This makes selecting Scott Park so much easier, because they stood apart from their competitors in this regard.

A huge positive for Scott Park, and one of the main reasons I selected them, was the ability for the Client to modify a plan and include various changes at no administrative expense, if they chose to do so. Such customization I found was rare amongst other builders, and Scott Park should definitely use this as a selling point in the future! Also, Clint took it upon himself to come up with some ingenious design elements to tackle some problems we faced, such as eliminating the 100mm gap between the shower and the cupboard, and having a storm water drain interfering with the driveway. These solutions have worked brilliantly, and Clint went out of his way to come up with them on his own time, for the Client (myself).

When the Build started, I was constantly amazed at the professional execution and speed of delivery of quality construction. To have a house go from dirt and grass, to walls up and roof on in a mere 2-3 months, was astounding. To do so without shortcuts and sacrificing quality was eye-opening. Thankfully, every step of the way Samara Menzel, your Client Liaison Officer, kept in constant communication with me regarding various actions and events. I was so confident of her capabilities and trusted her intentions, that I went overseas for two months in the middle of the build without a legal proxy back home, and the only communication medium was email. When I got back, not a single problem occurred for me to sort out. I can’t think of higher praise!

Upon completion and handover of the house, and after I moved in, I had only a few minor issues which Scott Park sorted without hesitation. Outside of those, I become increasingly aware that I am living in a house which will easily standup to the ‘test of time’, and was built with confidence in the ability of the tradesmen and the practices employed. Scott Park has, every step of the way, shown themselves to be leagues apart from the horror stories and stresses of other builders within the Area.

In closing I would like to thank all personnel at Scott Park whom were involved with the construction of my house, and their open, honest efforts in ensuring that it becomes my home. I am delighted with the final product.”
